MONROVIA, January 7 (LINA) - The Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN)  has arrested and sent to court 15 non-Liberians and others  charged with aiding and harboring illegal migrants and illegal penetration of Liberia’s borders.

Cecelia Weamia, Rebecca Dennis, Kadie Konteah Irene Shegbeh, Famata Korma, Jonathan Amiob , Martin Rogers, Fatu Sambe, John Mathies , Mohammed Kamara, Daniel Banya, Idrissa Turay and Enoch Sayuwo were on January 4, 2015 arrested by the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN) at the by- pass of the Bo Waterside border in western Liberian and the Ganta border in northeastern Liberia upon entering Liberia.

They were subsequently hosted by one Pinky Luogon who claims to be their boss, at her premises located in Paynesville Bernard Farm.

According to the BIN charge sheet, the 15 defendants were arrested based upon verified information gathered by immigration officers, noting that  these individuals illegally, criminally and defiantly entered Liberia’s borders in violation of a mandate by the President to close all borders as a measure to contain the deadly Ebola virus.

Meanwhile, the travelling documents of the suspects, including their host Pinky Luogon, are currently in the possession of immigration authorities.

The 15 defendants are currently undergoing investigation at the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
