Moore noted that the government was spending “too much money” on road rehabilitation because most of the roads are not paved, and the ones that are paved are below standard.
He made the disclosure Thursday when he appeared before the Plenary of the House of Representatives in response to an invitation extended him on July 7 to provide clarity on the status of road projects throughout Liberia.
Moore also indicated that the ministry does not have a data base on all major and primary roads, making it difficult to provide comprehensive information on the status of roads across the country.
The Public Minister, however, explained that his administration was working out modalities to create a data base of all major and primary roads in Liberia.
Moore noted that when that is done, the ministry will be in a proper position to determine how to tackle the issue of road construction and rehabilitation, considering their conditions.
