Public Buildings Completed In Barclayville – Mayor Discloses

HARPER, July 16 (LINA) – The City Mayor of Barclayville in Grand Kru County, Mr. John Mah, has disclosed that the City Corporation has completed renovation of several public buildings for the July 26 Independence Day festivities in the city.

Mayor Mah named the buildings as the Barclayville City Hall, Presidential Palace, the Guest House, Police Barracks as well as the Administrative Building which is nearing completion.

Mayor Mah told the Liberia News Agency (GSA) Tuesday via telephone that the exercise was spearheaded by the Director General of the General Services Agency, Madam Mary T. Broh.

He said the Chiefs Compound and two Peace Corps houses constructed by the county are ready for dedication during the independence celebration.

Meanwhile, Mayor Mah has disclosed that the cleaning of the city which started three months ago by the GSA Director General as well as the felling of trees to give the city a facelift is at the point of completion.

Mah then called on residents of the county to get prepared to actively participate in the independence celebration as well as remembering the historical moments of the county.
