The Head of the Incident Management System (IMS), Deputy Minister of Health Tolbert Nyenswah, made the disclosure during a Ministry of Information press briefing Thursday. It can be recalled that six cases of Ebola surfaced in Liberia two months after the World Health Organization (WHO) had declared the country free of the deadly virus that killed hundreds of people during its peak. Nyenswah indicated that “there is no active transmission” of the virus which first killed a 17-year-old boy in Margibi County, where it resurfaced. He then urged local and international businesses to carry out their activities without fear of the virus. According to him, a total of 17 contacts currently undergoing follow-ups will be completing the process on August 1. LINA JMG/JGT/TSS/PT

MONROVIA, July 30 (LINA) – The Government of Liberia has announced that the resurgent Ebola virus has been contained with no confirmed case at Ebola Treatment Units (ETUs) in the country since Friday, July 4.
