The citizens said their decision to construct a superintendent’s residence stemmed from the fact that Grand Cape Mount is the only county in the Western region that does not have a superintendent’s residence, noting that its construction will bring pride and dignity to the superintendent and the entire citizenry.
At the sitting in Robertsport over the weekend, they agreed that funding for the project will come from the 2015-2016 County Development Fund.
At the meeting, the citizens also agreed to allot US$ 33,000 to four community radio stations as subsidies to ensure their sustainability. The radio stations are Radio Cape Mount in Sinje, Radio Piso in Robertsport, Radio Salam in Bamballa and Radio Manwonet in Tewor District.
