VP Says Liberia Seeks Partners In Agriculture, Mining, Oil, Manufacturing

(LINA) - Vice President Joseph Boakai has told delegates at the United States-Liberia Trade and Investment Forum that Liberia seeks strategic partnerships in a number of sectors.

He named agriculture, agribusiness, agriculture value chain financing, natural resource development and mining, oil, gas, manufacturing and processing.

According to a dispatch, Vice President Boakai was addressing the U.S-Liberia Trade and Investment Forum Wednesday in New York.

He said the nation also seeks collaboration in other non-trade sectors of infrastructure development, energy, road, construction, sea port development, health, education and Information, Communication Technology.

Vice President Boakai said these areas are not only of great need for Liberia, but also of greater comparative advantage for Liberia and many of the firms represented at the forum.

He added that strategic public-private partnerships in these areas will make great impact in raising the living standard of Liberian citizens, according to the dispatch.
