The Executive Chairman of LACC, Cllr. James N. Vedier, made the recommendation when he addressed the Ministry of Information press conference at the ministry Thursday.
Vedier explained that the LWSC Water Treatment Plant has the capacity to produce 15 million gallons of water a day, but that it currently produces only four million gallons with a deficit of 11 million gallons.
Vedier added that of the four million gallons, three million are unaccounted for daily, noting that the corporation is operating at 25 percent of its capacity.
He pointed out that LACC has worked with the LWSC in developing a risk reduction plan to help the corporation in its production that is to be implemented soon.
He emphasized that the LWSC is experiencing an uphill task in achieving quality and satisfactory service delivery.

MONROVIA, October 2 (LINA) -The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) is recommending that the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) be privatized to enable it meet the production capacity of 15 million gallons per day.
