MONROVIA, October 2 (LINA) – The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) in collaboration with the Carter Center has provided anti-corruption awareness in seven of the 15 counties.

Although the Executive Chairman of LACC, Cllr. James N. Vedier, did not name the counties where the awareness was provided, he told the Ministry of Information press conference Thursday that the awareness was designed to prevent corruption by officials in those counties.

Vedier disclosed that LACC will ensure that the awareness is extended to other counties that were not visited so that the impact of LACC and Carter Center would be felt.

According to the Chairman Verdier, over 100 civil society networks along with 30 journalists benefitted from the awareness campaign.
