He made the statement at the weekend in remarks at the dedicatory ceremony of the Kerkula Giddings High School in Sanoyea District, Bong County.

Senator Tornonalah described an educated society as the first defense for the survivability of any nation, especially during this competitive era.

He then challenged Sanoyea citizens to support the education drive of their children, adding “unless your children are educated, society will change them rather than them changing society.”

The Margibi Senator who has his origin in Bong County, challenged citizens to take ownership of the school as it has to do with the future of their children rather than seeing it as “The people’s thing.”

He noted “The privilege for you to have a high school in this district could have been taken to another district but the fact that it was brought to you, you need to do everything in ensuring that this school lives up to the realities of time.”

 “Rise up with your kids and ensure that they have the level of capacity that will make them withstand the challenges of this world and life,” Tornonalah emphasized.

The Kerkula Giddings High School was completed and dedicated under the legislative project of Bong County Senator Jewel Howard-Taylor.
