TUBMANBURG, October 8 (LINA)-Internal Affairs Minster (MIA) Morris Dukuly has assured storm victims in Bomi County that all is being done by the government to address their plight.

Minister Dukuly said government acknowledges the mass destruction caused by Saturday’s violent rainstorm in the county and will do everything possible to address the needs of victims.

Minister Dukuly gave the assurance in Tubmanburg Wednesday during a tour of areas affected by the heavy rainstorm in the county.

Areas toured by Minister Dukuly are the Bomi County Community College (BCCC), C.H. Dewey Central High School, H.Q Taylor Elementary School and the Tubmanburg Youth Center amongst others.

The MIA boss said it was regrettable to see over 100 houses damaged and over 1,000 people rendered homeless in the county at a time when Liberians are putting their lives back together following the deadly Ebola outbreak.

He called on the victims to remain calm as the government is doing everything to help put their lives back together.
