The decision was taken by the school administration over the weekend in direct response to the wanton habit by the students using their phones to screen pornographic materials while in class, according to Principal A. Musu Kamara Dennis.
Dennis said the decision, announced during a Palava Hut meeting with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), will compel the students to pay more attention to their lessons.
She indicated that screening obscene photos has exposed the under-aged children to early sexual activities that could sometimes lead them to drop from school.
Dennis pointed out that the school has an enrollment of 315 students.
