Government Supports Bility's FIFA Presidential Bid

 The Government of Liberia says it supports the President of the Liberia Football Association, Mr. Musa Hassan Bility in his bid to become President of the world’s football governing body, FIFA.

 

The Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Hon. Lewis G. Brown said now that Mr. Bility has been qualified as a candidate, he is a representative of Liberia and must enjoy the support of all Liberians.

The President of the Liberia Football Association, Mr. Musa Hassan Bility was recently qualified as a candidate to contest the Presidency of the world’s football governing body, FIFA.

Addressing the Ministry’s weekly press briefing on Tuesday, Minister Brown urged Liberians to consider this ambition of a fellow Liberian as a rally point to bring all Liberians together and lift the national spirit.

The Information Minister also used the platform to commend a young Liberian, Abraham Keita for winning the International Children Peace Award. 17-year old Keita was named winner of the award for his advocacy for justice for children who are victims of physical and sexual violence.

Minister Brown told the press Mr. Bility and Keita added to the achievements by other Liberians to give the country a new face. He recalled that few years back, the name Liberia was synonymous to conflict and bloodletting which he said has now changed.
