MONROVIA, April 12 (LINA) - Presidents Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia and Macky Sall of Senegal have held bilateral discussions focusing on strengthening relations between the two sisterly West African countries.

Sirleaf and Sall also dealt with the potential of exploring possibilities of mutual interest concerning their two peoples and nations, according to an Executive Mansion Release issued in Monrovia.

It said the consultative discussion also covered improving the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
President Sall is the current Chairman of ECOWAS.

President Sirleaf was on Monday met on arrival at the Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport in Dakar by President Macky Sall at whose invitation President Sirleaf went to Senegal.

President Sirleaf was accompanied on the by Foreign Minister Marjon V. Kamara; Dr. Edward B. McClain, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs; Isaac Jackson, Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs, among others.

President Sirleaf and delegation have since returned home following the one-day consultative working visit.
