MONROVIA, May 26 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has made new appointments in government affecting some ministries and agencies.

Those concerned are the Ministries of Youth and Sports; Lands, Mines and Energy; and Internal Affairs; Governance Commission, Law Reform Commission, Liberia Maritime Authority and the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission.

According to an Executive Mansion release, those appointed are: Rufus Neufville, Deputy Minister for TVET, Ministry of Youth and Sports; Jenkins Atuanya, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy and Henry Sambola, Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy.

The release said Cllr. Felecia Coleman was appointed Commissioner of the Law Reform Commission, Mr. Willard Russell, Member, Board of Directors, Liberia Maritime Authority, Mr. Wesley Johnson, Commissioner, Governance Commission and Mr. John Ballout, Member, Board of Directors, Public Procurement and Concession Commission.

According to the release, the Liberian leader also appointed several local government officials in Grand Bassa and Gbarpolu Counties.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
