TUBMANBURG, August 1 ( LINA ) -The Bomi County University Students Association at Cuttington University is appealing to the Bomi County Legislative Caucus and the international partners to support the Scholarship Fund Drive of the students.

According to the Chairman of the association, Calvin Monweh, the fund drive is intended to generate funds to assist 29 deserving Bomi County students at Cuttington University for the 2016/2017 Academic Year.

He said the association intends to raise more money to enable it maintain the students on scholarship.

Chairman Monweh made the appeal recently in the county in an interview with reporters.

Chairman Monweh is also calling on the Government of Liberia and donor agencies to support the efforts of the students to continue their education. He did not say how much money they intend to raise for the scholarships.

He said if nothing is done to assist the Tuition Aid Assistance Program, many students from Bomi County attending Cuttington University will not enroll on September 20 for the 2016/2017 Academic Year at Cuttington.
