MONROVIA, August 3 (LINA) – The Management of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has vowed to go after individuals who are impersonating as employees of the entity and carrying out illegal connections.

Appearing on a local radio in Monrovia on Tuesday, LEC Communication Specialist James Kpargoi said the Management has received numerous complaints from subscribers about some individuals claiming to be employees of the LEC who are requesting fees to get them connected.

He warned those involved in such practice to desist or face the full weight of the law when caught.

Kpargoi also warned those doing business with such unscrupulous persons to stop or be dealt with in accordance with the laws of Liberia.

Meanwhile, Kpargoi has disclosed that LEC is connecting 18 additional communities in Montserrado County in an effort to fulfill President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s “Small Light Today, Big Light Tomorrow” initiative.
