GBARNGA, December 26 (LINA) - The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) has presented several items to children orphaned by the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and their foster parents in Bong County.

Beneficiaries were from Balakehtehla and Bolokata Towns in Salala District.

Making the presentation recently in the two communities, a Technical Assistant at the Ministry of Gender, Josiah Domah, said the presentation of the materials was part of efforts by Minister Julia Duncan-Cassel to restore the hope of the orphans.

Domah said Minister Duncan-Cassel was concerned about the well- being of the orphans and will continue to explore opportunities for them. He told the orphans that although their parents died as a result of the Ebola crisis, there was still hope for them Domah told the Liberia News Agency that items presented to the children included copy books, pens, book bags and used clothing.

The Ebola crisis claimed the lives of more than forty persons in the two communities.
