PUL To Now Inaugurate New Officials Dec. 29

MONROVIA, December 26 (LINA) - The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has adjusted the date for the inauguration of its new officials to Thursday, December 29. The ceremony will be held in the Ballroom of the Monrovia City Hall at 6:00 p.m., according to a PUL release.

The Union previously scheduled the induction for Friday, December 30. The World Bank Country Manager, Madam Larisa Leshchenko has agreed to deliver the keynote address, the release said. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is also expected to grace the occasion as guest of honor.

Those to be inducted are Charles Coffey, President- elect, Octavin Williams, Vice President- elect, Daniel Nyakonah, Secretary General- elect and Dyrus Zinnah, Assistant Secretary General- elect. Officials of the Union's largest auxiliary, the Reporters Association will as well be sworn into office at the same occasion. The PUL leaders were over a month ago elected at the 3rd Tri-annual National Congress in Ganta, Nimba County.
