MONROVIA, January 18 (LINA) - Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has called for a new spirit of investment and commitment in which Africans will look inside the continent for the resolution of African problems through job creation.

He said when Africans invest in Africa they are doing good for themselves and that looking elsewhere for the creation of opportunities in African nations should be considered something of the past.

“The continent has abundance of natural resources that can be used to improve the lives of its people; all we need to do is to use our natural resources for the right purposes so that our citizens’ lives can be improved,” VP Boakai emphasized.
According to a press release, Vice President Boakai made the call when he received a six-man delegation from Synergy Capital Group and Global Logistics Services at his Capitol Building office on January 16.

VP Boakai said it is” a good thing to see Africans investing in their own economies because what benefits one African country benefits the rest of the Continent.”
He noted that the Government of Liberia is willing to see a manifestation of the proposals by the firms that are before it.
