Pres. Sirleaf Makes New Appointments In Gov’t

MONROVIA, March 20 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has made several appointments in government affecting a number of ministries and autonomous bodies.


They include the Forestry Development Authority, National Social Security & Welfare Corporation, National Housing Authority, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Internal Affairs as well as the Law Reform Commission.
Those appointed are Mr. Darlington Tuagben, Managing Director Forestry Development Authority; Messrs. Dewitt von Ballmoos, Director General and Nyan Twayen, Deputy Director General respectively at the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation.
At the National Housing Authority, Mr. Prince Wreh was named Managing Director while at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Atty. Naomi Gray becomes Assistant Minister for Legal Affairs.
The Law Reform Commission gets Cllr. Felicia Coleman as Co-Chair, according to an Executive Mansion release.

Appointments under the Ministry of Internal Affairs local government are in Sinoe County with Mr. Robert S. Toteh becoming Superintendent, Seekon Statutory District and Mr. Walters Wright as Assistant Superintendent.
Mr. Edward Wlue was named Supertindent, Wedcarba Statutory District and Mr. Edward Norman, Assistant Superintendent, while Mr. Peter Wiah is Relieving Commissioner.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable, the release said.
