MONROVIA, July 1 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sileaf has warned against concealing information about suspected Ebola cases, noting that it is illegal under Liberia’s public health law to expose other people to health hazards such as Ebola.

“Let this warning go out, anyone found or reported to be holding suspected Ebola cases in homes or prayer house will be prosecuted under the laws of Liberia, ” she said.

Liberia Ebola Death Toll Hits 49

MONROVIA, July 1 (LINA) -The Health Ministry has reported that 49 persons have died from the Ebola disease in Liberia from 90 confirmed cases as at June 29.

A Health Ministry press release issued here Monday said the dead include five healthcare workers, 27 victims from Lofa County, 20 from Montserrado County and two from Margibi County.

A Professor of Tropical Zoology at the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom (UK) has urged the Liberian Government to preserve the environment to ensure productive farming in the country.

Commerce Minister Axel Addy has said that the Liberian business community is progressing from one stage to another with commensurate development of the country’s business sector.

KAKATA, June 27 (LINA) - A student of the Kakata Rural Teacher Training Institute (KRTTI) has died of the Ebola at the Charles Henry Rennie Memorial Hospital in Kakata City, the provincial capital of Margibi County.
