Pres. Sirleaf: Hiding Ebola is Criminal
2 July 2014, 5:06 pm Written by Ministry of InformationMONROVIA, July 1 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sileaf has warned against concealing information about suspected Ebola cases, noting that it is illegal under Liberia’s public health law to expose other people to health hazards such as Ebola.
“Let this warning go out, anyone found or reported to be holding suspected Ebola cases in homes or prayer house will be prosecuted under the laws of Liberia, ” she said.
Liberia Ebola Death Toll Hits 49
2 July 2014, 4:33 pm Written by Ministry of InformationMONROVIA, July 1 (LINA) -The Health Ministry has reported that 49 persons have died from the Ebola disease in Liberia from 90 confirmed cases as at June 29.
A Health Ministry press release issued here Monday said the dead include five healthcare workers, 27 victims from Lofa County, 20 from Montserrado County and two from Margibi County.
