Murder suspect Morris Jerbo, 24, Saturday admitted killing a sex worker, regretting it as “the work of the Devil”.
Suspect Jerbo informed a team of judicial reporters Saturday that killing the yet unidentified 25-years-old women on September 25, 2014 was a grave mistake that he found hard to believe he had committed.
"I'm yet to recover since this wrongful act. I still can’t believe that I killed this lady after having sex with her. "Why will a man take live of another person after good time? I'm guilty for the act and I am awaiting any sentence," Jerbo pointed out.
The murder suspect made the statement while en route to the Monrovia Central Prison pending court trial. Police Saturday transferred Suspect Jerbo to the Monrovia City Court for prosecution after charging him with murder.
Judge Kennedy Peabody of the Monrovia City Court acquaints defendant Jerbo with his constitutional right and later informed him that his crime was non-bailable. Prior to his murder charge, police in Grand Cape Mount County arrested suspect Morris Jerbo for killing the woman in the Shoe Factory Community in Gradnerville on Somalia Drive.
According to police authority suspect Jerbo was arrested as a result of a tip off from some residents of Cape Mount County after he tried to escape justice.
