A high level government delegation is expected to leave the capital, Monrovia for Maryland County in the southeast to probe into a standoff between the management of the Cavalla Rubber Corporation and citizens of Maryland.

Justice Minister Benedict Sannoh said the delegation hopes to resolve the problem between the company and citizens, adding that this would assure citizens that the government is concerned about their well-being.

He noted that the move is also meant to reassure investors that the government is committed to protecting their interests as stipulated under the law.

Minister Sannoh made the disclosure Wednesday during the Ministry of Information regular press briefing on Capitol Hill in Monrovia.
