BUCHANAN, May 15 (LINA) – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Friday ended a three-day workshop on National Adaptation Plan (NAP) which will pave the way to mobilize

resources for climate change adaptation in Liberia.
The workshop, which started Wednesday at the Bassa Women Development Association office Buchanan, is aimed at assisting the Government of Liberia through the EPA to begin its NAP process through multi-stakeholders engagement.

The workshop is also intended to address the adverse impact of climate change through medium and long-term NAP processes, reflect on lessons learned, analyze gaps and carry out a broad-based discussion with key climate change sensitive sectors on defining a road map for the NAP process.

Some specific objectives of the workshop are to enhance understanding of the NAP process, discuss lessons learnt from ongoing climate mainstreaming of other relevant initiatives and identify specific technical and institutional needs.
