MONROVIA, January 6 (LINA)-The Constitution Review Committee (CRC) says it is compiling public views collected during its outreach programs for submission to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf shortly.
According to the Liberia News Agency, the disclosure was made Tuesday by the Director of Communication at the CRC, D.Y Hne, in an interview with reporters at his Old Road office in Sinkor, a suburb of Monrovia .
He explained that the views being compiled also constitute views collected from diaspora Liberians, noting that the reports will be submitted following the holding of a National Constitutional Conference expected to be held in early January 2015.
Mr. Hne said the National Constitutional Conference is part of the implementation of the remaining stages of the Committee's work.
He said the conference will be held in collaboration with the UNDP, Governance Commission and the Law Reform Commission.
Mr. Hne indicated that to encourage this venture, the CRC along with its partners, has constituted a secretariat to oversee the activities of the constitutional conference which will bring together stakeholders from the 15 political sub-divisions of Liberia including all districts.
