TUBMANBURG, September 2 (LINA) - The vice president of the Liberia Motorcycle Transport Union (LMTU) Bomi County branch, Samuel Turlay, has said that members of the union are carefully observing the nationwide curfew.
Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency Tuesday in Tubmanburg, Turlay said observing the curfew is necessary because it is in the interest of the Liberian people.
He said since the imposition of the curfew, all members of the union have scrupulously observed it, saying no member has been arrested for breaking it.
Mr. Turlay said members of the union are also scrupulously adhering to the preventive measures to contain the spread of the Ebola Virus in the county.
He said instructions have been given to members of the union to obey the government mandate not to carry two passengers on a bike.
Mr. Turlay said the union is represented on the County Ebola Task Force, making the Union to have access to vital information on the Ebola virus.
