MONROVIA, September 5 (LINA) - River Gee County Representative Christian Chea has deplored the condition of flags of the 15 political sub-divisions of Liberia hoisted on the premises of the Capital Building in Monrovia.

“All the 15 flags are rotten and their condition does not represent the various counties and the country as a whole,” Chea stressed.

Speaking during the 2nd Day Sitting of the Extraordinary Session of the House of Representatives on Thursday, the River Gee lawmaker underscored the need for Plenary to ensure that the “rotten flags” are replaced, according to the Liberia News Agency (LINA).

Almost all of the Representatives who attended Thursday’s session voiced similar observation, and thanked Chea for bringing that to the attention of Plenary.

Responding, Deputy Speaker and Presiding Officer, Hans Barchue, agreed that the condition of the flags was unacceptable.

Barchue assured that the House’s Committee on Rules, Order and Administration will be mandated to ensure that the Flags are replaced.
