Sinoe Braces For 2014 Independence Celebration

MONROVIA, Jan 8. (LINA)- Sinoe County Development Superintendent Thomas Romeo Quiah says the county is gearing up for the 2014 July 26 Independence celebrations scheduled to be held in the county.

 

Sinoe will host the core of the celebration billed for Grand Kru and Sinoe by government pronouncement.

He said the county has completed several development projects, including the renovation of the administration building, Chiefs Compound and the Sinoe County sports stadium in Greenville City, in preparation for the national event.

Supt. Quiah made the disclosure Wednesday in an interview with the Liberian News Agency at the General Services Agency (GSA) where a delegation from Sinoe and Grand Kru Counties, including the Legislative caucuses of the two counties to meet with authorities of the GSA.

He also indicated that in preparation for the celebration, Greenville City and its suburbs as well as its surrounding towns and villages have been electrified.

Quiah added that Sinoe county authorities have started providing generators to some rural communities under an arrangement where the communities will be responsible to fuel the machines.
