MONROVIA, October 8 (LINA) – The father of the late Ms. Luvestos Farley, a university student, is calling on the government through the Liberia National Police to speedily investigate circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death.
Luvestos Farley, who was a resident of the Lakpazee Community in Monrovia, was found dead in her bedroom on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 by her housemates and neighbors.
Prior to her death, Luvestos attended the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University (AMEZU) on Camp Johnson Road in Monrovia.
But her father, Mr. Wilson Farley, told the Liberia News Agency Wednesday that since his daughter was killed, the Liberia National Police is yet to arrest the alleged killer of his daughter.
He said his daughter was allegedly stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors by one Benedict Wesseh believed to be her boyfriend, who immediately escaped upon committing the crime and is yet to be arrested by the LNP.
“My daughter’s death was confirmed by officers of the Homicide Division of the Liberia National Police (LNP) who went on the scene upon hearing the news,” Farley narrated.
When contacted, Police spokesman Sam Collins said the police is still in “hot pursuit” of Benedict Wesseh.
Meanwhile, the Police Spokesman has called on the general public to assist the LNP with any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.
