GBARNGA, October 19 (LINA) - Motorcyclists in Bong County have presented a three-count resolution to the county leadership calling for the lifting of a 7:00 p.m. restriction imposed on their movement since August this year.

The resolution also asked that parents be allowed to carry kids along on the bikes and reduction in traffic violation ticket fees from US$25 to US$10.

According to the Bong County Motorcycle Union (BMU) President Sam B. Elliott lifting the restriction is necessary because the reason for which it was imposed has improved.
Receiving the resolution, Bong County Development Superintendent Anthony Sheriff
promised convey the group’s concern to Superintendent Selena Polson Mappy, but urged them to remain calm.
Meanwhile, the Union’s legal counsel, Attorney James K. Saybay, has called for a revisit of the restriction limiting motorcyclists to operating up to 7:00 p.m. when the national curfew is at 11:00 p.m.

Attorney Saybay is requesting the motorcyclists to continue to observe the 7:00 p.m. deadline while the county leadership considers their petition.
