MONROVIA, October 20 (LINA) – The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has lifted the 21-day quarantine placed on the Assistant Driver to Chief Justice Francis Korkpor.
The Ministry reached the decision Sunday after Isaac Autridge went through the 21 days prescribed period by the Ministry and international medical experts to ensure that he was Ebola-free.
Mr. Autridge was quarantined recently after his wife contracted the virus and subsequently died.
Speaking to the Liberia News Agency in an interview at his Caldwell residence Monday after he was released on Sunday, Autridge said though his wife contracted the Ebola virus and died, the medical examination has proven that he did not contract the decease.
“Since my wife died more than a month ago, I have not experienced any Ebola symptom and have not interacted with my boss, Chief Justice Korkpor, my family and work mates as well,” Autridge told LINA.
He disclosed that his sister-in-law and her daughter who contracted the disease from his wife were discharged over the weekend from the ELWA Ebola Treatment Unit after undergoing three weeks of intensive medical treatment.
