MONROVIA, October 21 (LINA) -The Executive Director of a local non-governmental organization, Professional Volunteers, Mr. Boersen S. Hinneh, has warned Liberians against using the social media networks to disseminate negative information about the country.
He said of late Liberians have developed the habit of tarnishing the image of the country and its leadership on Facebook and other networks without regard to the rule of fair play and objectivity.
“Liberia is the only country we have and as such it is incumbent upon all Liberians to do away with disseminating negative information about the country and its leadership only because they do not like the government,” Hinneh said.
He was speaking Monday when his organization identified with more than 25 Ebola survivors in Monrovia, donating one 25kg bag of rice, four packs of Creamy wheat, one gallon of oil, one bag of Corn Soya Blend and 20 bags of sugar, among others.
The Chairman of the Ebola Survivors in Liberia, Mr. Kollie Bandawolo, thanked the Professional Volunteers group and all those that have identified with them and called on the government to support Ebola survivors restart their lives.
