3 Die, 4 Injured In Buchanan Highway Accident

BUCHANAN, October 22 (LINA) -Three persons have died instantly and four others sustained serious injuries in a motor accident on the Monrovia-Buchanan Highway.

Grand Bassa County Deputy Traffic Commander, Sgt. Louise J. Gbegeah, identified the dead as David Gaye, the driver, Yamah Borboh and Youjay Kilby, died instantly when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the explosion of its left front tire.

The Police Commander named the injured as Kweta David, Baccus Cummings and Andrew George, occupants of the vehicle, and a pedestrian, Naomi Kpayegar, who was on the Benson River Bridge at the time of the accident was injured.

Sgt. Gbegeah narrated that David, Cummings, and George were rushed to the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan where they were treated and discharged, while the deceased were deposited at a mortuary.
It can be recalled that in July this year, eight persons lost their lives as a result of a motor accident on the newly-paved Monrovia-Buchanan Highway.
