MONROVIA, Feb 26 (LINA) President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has made several appointments in Government, pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.

Those appointed are Mr. Peter Z. Kamei, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment; Cllr. Carlos Smith, Member, Liberia Telecommunications Corporation Board of Directors (replacing Dr. El Mohamed Sheriff) and Mr. Eugene Peabody, Member, Liberia Bank for Development and Investment Board (representing Liberian shares).

Also appointed are Mr. George G. Wisner,  Executive Director, National Investment Commission; Mrs. Asatu Bah Kanneh, Deputy Commissioner, Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN) and Mr. Benedict O. Johnson, and Mr. Gwee K. Porkpah, Deputy Director for Operations and Deputy Director for Administration respectively, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

At the same time President Johnson Sirleaf has appointed Mr. Henry B. Yonton as Deputy Minister for Sports, Ministry of Youth and Sports,replacing Mr. Dionysius Sebwe, who is being reassigned.
