ROBERTSPORT, January 9 (LINA) - Liberia and Sierra Leone have begun Joint Technical Ebola Prevention meetings aimed at eradicating the Ebola from the sub-region, Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent, Imam Mohammed A. Paasewe, has disclosed.

He said the first meeting, which brought together health experts from both countries, was held in Sinje, Garwula District while the second meeting is expected to take place in Sierra Leone next week.

According to the Liberia News Agency Correspondent in the county, Superintendent Paasewe made the statement Wednesday at the County Ebola Task Force coordination meeting held in Robertsport, the provincial capital.

Paasewe, who is also chairman of the County Ebola Taskforce, said the two countries are expected to form a joint-Ebola Coordination Team for cross border management of the disease.

He observed that the virus can only be kicked out of the sub-region if Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone are prepared to fight the disease in unity, understanding, commitment and hard work.
