ROBERTSPORT, January 28 (LINA) – The Liberia National Red Cross Society Grand Cape Mount County Chapter has ended a three-day Ebola sensitization and prevention campaign in 12 towns in Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount.

The towns are Bo-Waterside, Gorgorma, Gbesseh, Tienii, Pujehum, Camp 3, Kornnah, Weelor, Jenewonde, Kru Town Beach, Labuljah and Sannamalor.

The awareness campaign brought together religious and traditional leaders, commissioners, journalists and prominent citizens of the county.

According to the Liberia News Agency, LNRCS County Field Officer Konnah Paul said the campaign was conducted mainly in Ebola hotspots in Tewor, where new cases were being reported in an effort to adequately educate the citizenry about the virus.

She said it is unfortunate that while more than 10 counties are reporting fewer or no new cases over the past few weeks, Grand Cape Mount County is still reporting fresh Ebola cases.
