MONROVIA, January 30 (LINA) - The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced the start of distribution of Ebola preventive materials to public and private schools in Monrovia School Districts One and Two.

Deputy Education Minister for Administration Ramses Kumbuyah disclosed that the ministry received the materials through a commitment from the U. N. Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

He made the disclosure at the Ministry of Information regular Ebola Press conference in Monrovia on Friday.
Kumbuyah noted that the anti-Ebola materials, which include buckets with faucets, chlorine, soap and thermometers, are intended to enhance preventive campaigns at schools around the country to finally eradicate the Ebola virus.

“Over 15,000 thermometers have been brought into the country for distribution,” Kumbuyah disclosed.
He also said that MOE in collaboration with the Ministry of Health as well as local and international partners have developed and published a “School Safety Protocol” to be distributed alongside hygiene kits to public and private schools.
