TUBMANBURG, January 30 (LINA) –The National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) Region Three Administrative Officer Thomas Padmore has disclosed that the Ebola outbreak disrupted the entity’s operations in the region.

Padmore said during the height of the Ebola epidemic in August 2014, most companies operating in the region slowed down their activities, thereby stalling the institution’s regular activities.

Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency on Thursday in Tubmanburg, Padmore said since the outbreak, companies have stopped paying the NASSCORP contributions for their employees.

He, however, said as the Ebola virus is being curbed and firms are re-opening, the corporation has begun contacting these companies to make payments of their employees’ NASSCORP dues covering the last four months.
