KAKATA, February 1(LINA) - The Acting Health Officer of Margibi County has disclosed that there is a shortage of drugs at public health facilities in the county.
Dr. Adolphus Yeiah said as a result primary health care facilities in the county were finding it difficult to provide much needed services to the public.
According to the Liberia News Agency, Dr. Yeiah made the disclosure over the week end during the county’s weekly Ebola Taskforce meeting at the Administration Building.
He noted that all public health facilities in the county were now opened after closure at the height if the Ebola crisis but the lack of essential drugs was a major hindrance.
There are 42 public and private health facilities in the county.
Margibi County was hardest-hit by the Ebola virus, losing over 25 health workers from the county health team.
