DEMENTA/GBARNGA, February 1 (LINA) - The acting Paramount Chief of Jorquelleh District One, Mary Larteh, has lauded the rehabilitation and construction of roads in the district.
She told the Liberia News Agency recently after touring rehabilitated and newly- constructed roads in the district that the project has reduced difficulties faced by residents to get sick people to hospital and farm produce to the market.
She said cardinal among the impact making project is the construction of the four kilometer Gbarnga-to-Cotton Tree Community road and seven kilometer Gbarnga-to-Dementa road.
“Our people are now rescued because they will no longer carry sick people and pregnant women in hammock to health facilities,” the female chief said.
During the tour, County Development Superintendent Anthony Sheriff said the project is in response to the Liberian leader’s quest to meet the needs of citizens across the country.
The project was implemented using the only two pieces of earth moving machines the county owns.
