MONROVIA, February 1(LINA) - An official of the Ministry of Education (MOE) is optimistic that the country’s educational system will greatly improve if more support is given to the sector.

 

Assistant Education Minister for Teacher’s Education, Moses B. Jackson, indicated that the provision of logistics to enhance supervision of schools will make significant improvement in the educational system.

He made the statement at the Ministry of Information daily Ebola press conference held in Monrovia on Friday.
Jackson also alluded to efforts on the part of parents and guardians in ensuring quality education as another key factor in enhancing the educational system of Liberia.

The Education Ministry official noted that major reforms among instructional staff is needed to further improve the sector as the prevalence of unqualified teachers within schools serves as an obstacle to the improving the students.

He disclosed that the MOE will collaborate with teachers that are already in the system by working with them through training aimed at build their skills and making them more efficient in impacting students.
