MONROVIA, February 4 (LINA) - Youth and Sports minister Eugene Nagbe has disclosed that the National Cadet Program (NCP) will restart in March this year to empower youths through public and private sector interim engagements.
“Unlike previous years, the forthcoming NCP will be in a public-private partnership with Mercy Corps,” Minister Nagbe said.
Making the disclosure on Wednesday at the Ministry of Information daily press briefing, Nagbe stated that the Ministry will recruit 100 college students with Grade Point Average (GPA) 3.0 and above, and assign them to public and private entities to acquire workplace experience and training.
The National Cadet Program is a government initiative which is implemented through the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The last batch of 100 cadets was deployed in February 2014, according to the ministry.
