MONROVIA, February 7 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson has said leadership should be exemplified at all level of society and not only by those at the top of government and institutions.

The Liberian leader noted that leadership should first be demonstrated at home by parents who are supposed to manage the manner in which their children live, their dedication to God as well as their daily prayers.
President Sirleaf made the statement when she served as special guest at the start of a Global Leadership Summit organized by the Monrovia Christian Fellowship Church in Sinkor on Saturday.

She also pointed out that leadership should be exhibited at schools not only by principals but also by students in the classrooms who opt to be class presidents, adding: “To be a class president, you must show a difference, you have to stand up, your friends have to believe in you, they can be motivated by what you do and the examples you set.”

“Leadership applies to our organizations, our offices and clubs; as a leader, stand up for what is right; be one who people look up to for advice and one who will care less about what people say about you when you know that you are doing the right thing,” President Sirleaf stressed.
