Margibi County senator-elect James Tornonlah says Liberians should stop filing unnecessary litigations against election results without tangible evidence.

Tornonlah was not certificated by the National Elections Commission (NEC) due to a Supreme Court stay order arising from a Writ of Prohibition filed against him by one of the contestants in the December 20, 2014 midterm senatorial election.

Tornonlah stressed that if contestants will always challenge election results, it would create a stigma on the democratic process Liberia intends to build.

The Margibi County senator-elect made the assertion over the weekend at the second graduation exercise of the National and International Driving School of General Automobile Driving Academic (GADA), Margibi County Branch, held at the City Hall in Kakata, Margibi County. More than 30 persons were certificated.

He indicated that contestants should not just take issues to the Supreme Court when they do not have genuine reason, noting that it takes time for matters to be resolved by the Supreme Court.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of GADA, Jeremiah Davies, said the driving school intended to prepare professional drivers in Liberia to ensure that lives and properties are safe.
