MONROVIA, February 10 (LINA) – Distribution of Ebola preventive materials by the Ministry of Education for safe school environment will be completed in the 15 counties by Thursday, February 12, an Education Ministry official has said.
Senior Policy Adviser Albert Coleman said the materials are being distributed among private and public schools across the country.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) last week donated buckets with faucets, chlorine, soap and thermometers to the ministry to enhance preventive campaigns at schools around the country.
Speaking at Monday at the Ministry of Information daily press briefing, Coleman did not say when the distribution of the materials started but said the exercise will end by February 12.
He said the Monrovia School Districts One and Two are targeted for supplies before the deadline.
Coleman said the ministry is working with NGOs, district and county education officers to ensure that the materials are delivered on schedule.
