BOPOLU, February 18 (LINA) – UNMIL Gbarpolu Civil Affairs Office in partnership with the County Administration has completed the rehabilitation of the Bambu Town Bridge that was in deplorable state for the past six months.

Development Superintendent Paul Kimba told the Liberia News Agency that the county provided local materials while their UNMIL counterpart handled the technical aspect.

He commended UNMIL for the technical support which has changed the outlook of the bridge, making it “very durable”.

Kimba revealed that plans are underway to rehabilitate other makeshift bridges in the county, including Kongba, Weasua, Kungbor, and Belle districts respectively.

He, however, appealed to citizens and concessions operating in the county to support the effort of the county administration in rehabilitating other bridges and roads to allow easy access to goods and services.
