VOINJAMA, February 18 (LINA) - Bondi Development Association (BODA) has embarked on farming projects in the Clan to boost self-sufficiency in food production and raise development revenue.
Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency in Bondi Clan, Voinjama District in Lofa County on Monday, BODA’s Secretary General Forkpa Koiwu said the farming projects include planting of cassava, rice, banana and plantain among other cash crops.
Koiwu said about 22 towns, including the headquarters of various townships in Bondi Clan, are part of the farming activities and that the proceeds from the harvest of these farms would be used for the development of the clan.
He assured the farmers that the projects will go a long way in getting the citizens involved in the development process of the county.
Koiwu is urging citizens of the Clan to get actively involved in the implementation of the farming programs as a way of moving the Clan forward.
