Grand Jurors at the Criminal Court “A” at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia have indicted a former employee of the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI), Margareta Dorbor, for allegedly stealing L$147,000.

She allegedly withdrew the amount from the Gardnerville Savings Club account at the LBDI.

Dorbor has accordingly been charged with Theft of property, forgery and counterfeiting.

According to the indictment, the management of the LBDI observed that between January and December 2010, defendant Dorbor allegedly stole money from various customer accounts both in United States and Liberian dollars.

The indictment said L$147,000 appeared in the savings book but did not appear in the account of the Garnerville Peoples Savings Club in the system of LBDI.
Meanwhile, defendant Dorbor is currently under bond awaiting court trial
