MONROVIA February 23 (LINA) - Liberia is returning to a more normal state in light of the decline in the number of Ebola cases and the reopening of schools, Assistant Health Minister Tolbert Nyenswah, has said.
He told the Voice of America Monday that “things are improving” and expressed the hope that the economy will reboot with the lifting of the curfew and reopening of the borders.
He indicated that health authorities will continue to observe Ebola preventive protocols and regulations until Liberia achieves “zero infections”, adding: “If Liberia is reporting even a single case of Ebola per day that means the disease is still in the country.”
But, he added that unlike in the past, there has been a significant improvement in the response to new cases.
