VOINJAMA, February 23 (LINA) - Over 300 public and private schools teachers from across Lofa County have ended a one-week Ebola training workshop in Voinjama, Lofa County.

The workshop was sponsored by Women and Health Alliance International (WAHA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, according to the Liberia News Agency.

County Education Officer Nya D. Twayan said the workshop was intended to provide basic knowledge about the usage of Ebola preventive materials like the thermometers, correct measurement and mixture of the chlorine and water, among others.

Twayan said the training was also aimed at ensuring that teachers ensure that their various campuses are safe and clean and to make students follow all of the Ebola preventive measures outlined by health authorities.

The beneficiaries lauded WAHA and the Ministry of Education for the workshop and urged them to continue such training in order to eradicate the virus from the country, especially now that normal schooling activities have resumed.

The workshop ran from February 16-21 at the Voinjama Multilateral High school in Voinjama city, Lofa County.
